Join the Claim achieves Cyber Essentials certification

Protecting people’s personal information is a responsibility we take seriously.

That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Join the Claim has achieved Cyber Essentials certification.

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed certification scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against the most common cyber threats.

Achieving certification confirms that we have the core technical controls in place to help safeguard our systems, accounts and data.

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a nationally recognised certification developed by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

To become certified, organisations must demonstrate that they have implemented a range of fundamental security measures designed to reduce the risk of common cyber-attacks.

These controls cover areas including:

  • Secure access to systems and accounts
  • Protection against malware
  • Secure device configuration
  • Security updates and patch management
    Network protection.

Why it matters

At Join the Claim, we often help people explore potential legal claims that may involve sharing personal information.

Whether someone is checking their eligibility for a claim or registering their interest, they need to know that their information is being handled responsibly. Achieving Cyber Essentials certification is one of the ways we demonstrate our ongoing commitment to protecting the information entrusted to us.

But cyber security isn’t something you achieve once and forget about. It’s an ongoing process of reviewing, improving and maintaining the measures that help keep information secure.

As we continue to develop the Join the Claim platform, we’ll keep investing in the systems, processes and controls that help protect our people, our partners and the consumers who trust us.

Thank you to everyone who has placed their trust in Join the Claim. We’re committed to continuing to earn it every day.
