Overview

In 2025, a gang of hackers claimed responsibility for stealing highly sensitive data from the Kido nursery chain, which runs 18 sites in and around London.

According to the criminals, the breach exposed the personal details of around 8,000 children, along with information about their parents, carers and safeguarding notes.

The cyber-criminals — who call themselves Radiant — attempted to extort the company, even contacting some parents directly in their ransom demands. Following widespread backlash, the hackers said they had deleted the stolen data.

Those affected by this breach should have been sent a data breach notification letter/email. If you have received this warning, you could be eligible for compensation.
