2plan data breach FAQs

In 2023, 2plan Wealth Management experienced a significant data breach. The breach was discovered on August 10, 2023, and involved the LockBit ransomware group. It impacted various parts of 2plan’s IT systems, potentially exposing sensitive client information.

2plan should be in touch to notify customers who are involved in this breach. If you do not receive this notification, it is unlikely that you are affected. If you have received notification of your involvement, you could have a NO-WIN, NO- FEE compensation claim.

In a letter to affected clients, 2plan said: “We have completed expert analysis of the data involved in this incident, and have determined, given the nature of the stolen data, that there is a risk the data may be used by someone to deliberately target you, for their own financial gain. We are also concerned that there is sufficient data about you to enable attempts to impersonate you, or approach you (via telephone or email) with potentially believable scams.”
